Over 100 Baradene College students proudly performed at Polyfest 2017, the largest Polynesian festival in the world. This was a chance for students from Year 7 through to Year 13 to showcase their cultural identities and learn about other cultures. The Polyfest theme for 2017 was nurturing leadership through culture and this was reflected in the amazing leadership shown by our students in each of the cultural groups; the Kapa Haka group, the Samoan group, the Tongan group and the Filipino group. The students and their tutors worked extremely hard to prepare for Polyfest, with energy, focus, commitment and determination. All of the groups performed with confidence and enthusiasm and should be extremely proud of their achievements. We would like to thank all those who supported the groups.
