Baradene College Music Department offers music programmes from Year 7 to 13 in accordance to the National Certificate of Education Achievement. Students may study music to continue tertiary study in music or careers in music. Students may also take up music purely for their interest and provide balance in life.
All Year 7 & 8 students have opportunities to explore Music through a range of instruments as well as learning the basics in music theory. Year 9 and 10 Music option focuses on both individual and group performance opportunities, create and compose music using the available technology, theory and exploration through the various periods in Western and World music. Year 11-13 Music option offers student the opportunity to gain a large number of credits with endorsements through performance, composition, study of music works, theory and aural skill achievement standards.
All students will have the opportunity to learn the wide range of instruments on offer through our itinerant music programme, as well as making music together in our orchestra, concert band and choir.
