I will take away from Baradene:
The most valuable thing I will take with me from Baradene are the connections I have made. Along my journey at Baradene I have met and created such valuable friendships and relationships with individuals that I will treasure for life. These people have allowed me to develop into a young woman and helped prepare me for the world past high school.
In the future:
I plan to study at Otago University towards a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery for a career filled with making positive differences in people’s lives. I hope to get some travelling in between my studies as I love seeing different parts of the world!
A funny moment:
During Year 9 I broke my leg and ankle and used crutches to get around the school however, one day when it had been raining, I took it a bit too fast and slipped on the ground putting on a graceful show as I went down. Unfortunately, many people witnessed the event, and it is something I will laugh at for years ahead.

I will take away from Baradene:
Baradene has given me so much and for that I will always be extremely grateful.
However, most of all I would have to say - for teaching me so much about myself, about others and about the world. The incredible opportunities and experiences I’ve been fortunate enough to receive, the kindness and generosity of our teachers, and the laughs and fond memories with my peers; have made me realise what is really important in life - and I think Cor Unum will always be a part of me.
In the future:
I am going to study a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Otago University, with the aspirations of working in public health. I would love to be able to work in areas of healthcare inequity and make a positive impact in the lives of others.
A funny moment:
Over the last seven years in Erskine house we have never had enough swimmers to swim in our house relay so I’ve frequently ended up swimming more than one lap! Every time we try to make it look unsuspicious to avoid being disqualified!

I will take away from Baradene:
I will definitely take away the friendships and memories made over the seven years, I will deeply miss the comrardery between everyone.
In the future:
In the future I will be attending Canterbury University studying engineering, hoping to become a chemical engineer.
A funny moment:
I will never forget the story where my friend was in class. She accidentally let off and somebody said “evacuate” and everyone continued to move out of the class. A story I’ll never forget!
