On Tuesday 19th November, the Baradene Rowing squad gathered on the front lawn outside the Chapel for the blessing of their new coxed Eight, named Sandy Pasley II.
With Mrs Pasley taking part in the ceremony, it was a special event for everyone. Thank you to Monsignor Bernard for leading the blessing, to the rowers who carefully helped with setting the boat up, to our Senior leaders, Kate Hunter and Caitlin Lawrence, for assisting in the ceremony with prayers and the blessing of the boat and to the BCR Chair, Madeline Bower, and Sports Manager, Jacqui Foote, for their work behind the scenes.
It is a fitting tribute to our Principal, Sandy Pasley, as she has been such a huge supporter of rowing at Baradene in her tenure. We can’t wait to see how fast she can go!
