Six of our top swimmers competed in the recent North Island Secondary Schools Swimming Championships in Wellington.
All swimmers had a fabulous meet, with each one coming away with a medal.
Overall Baradene placed 2nd Top Girls School, a fantastic effort with only six competitors. Here are the amazing results for the podium winners:
- Amelia Bray (14 Years) – 1st 100 Freestyle, 2nd 100IM, 2nd 100 Butterfly, 2nd 50 Butterfly, 3rd 50 Freestyle
- Lanihei Connolly (15 Years) – 1st 100 Breaststroke, 2nd 50 Breaststroke, 3rd 100IM
- Trelise Dance (16 Years) – 1st 100 Breaststroke, 1st 50 Breaststroke
- Olivia Gibson (16 years) – 3rd 50 Breaststroke, 3rd 100 Breaststroke
- Girls 13-15 Medley Relay – 1st (Isabelle Gibson, Lanihei Connolly, Amelia Bray, Isla Petherbridge)
4 College records were also broken:
- Open 100IM – Lanihei Connolly – 1:06.69
- Intermediate 50 Breaststroke - Lanihei Connolly – 33.26
- Intermediate 50 Backstroke – Isabelle Gibson – 30.56
- Senior 50 Breaststroke – Trelise Dance – 33.56
